Upgraded features on Embroidery Edit, "Border" and "Buttonhole" embroidery programs

When you select Embroidery Edit, two new icons, "Border" and "Buttonhole", appear on the machine screen.

The Continuous Embroidery Hoop will work with the Border icon. The Buttonhole Embroidery Hoop will work with the Buttonhole icon.

  • Continuous Embroidery Hoop Kit
    Included are 51 kinds of exclusive border designs that can be embroidered with the border frame. A sewn thread mark that serves as a guide to where the next pattern in a series should be added.

    Continuous Embroidery Program -
    When the border icon is activated, any designs within the 18cm x 10cm / 7"x4" field can be sewn with the border frame only. Without the border frame attached to the machine, the START / STOP button will not turn green to sew.


  • Buttonhole Embroidery Hoop Kit
    Included are 15 exclusive utility buttonholes (each with eight sizes) can be embroidered with the buttonhole frame. You can adjust the thread density and easily sew a wide variety of buttonholes, even in heavy or very thin fabric that is difficult to sew using the utility stitch.

    Buttonhole Program -
    Only the buttonhole frame will work with the program's buttonholes and features when the buttonhole icon is activated

Instructions for download:
Follow the instructions below in order to download the software.
  1. Prepare 4 blank floppy disks.
  2. Download each file to a floppy.

To confirm the software version of your Ellageo/Ellageo2/Ellageo3
  1. Press the power switch to turn on your machine
  2. Press Setting Key on the screen display.
  3. See the software version number displayed at the bottom.

How to upload from floppy disks into the sewing machine.

  1. Press the bobbin winding button while turning on the machine. After 5 seconds, release the bobbin winding button.
    The following message will appear on the LCD, and the machine will be in the UPGRADE mode.
    Display: UPGRADES AND UPDATES INSERT FLOPPY DISK NO.1 AND PRESS THE BOBBIN WINDING START/STOP BUTTON.

  2. Insert the floppy disk with PROGRAM1.UPG and press the bobbin winding button again.
    Display: LOADING FLOPPY DISK NO.1

  3. When the data is finished loading, the display will change as shown below.
    Display: INSERT FLOPPY DISK NO.2 AND PRESS THE BOBBIN WINDING START/STOP BUTTON

  4. Insert the floppy disk with PROGRAM2.UPG and press the bobbin winding button again. Display: LOADING FLOPPY DISK NO.2

  5. When the data is finished loading, the display will change as shown below.
    Display: INSERT FLOPPY DISK NO.3 AND PRESS THE BOBBIN WINDING START/STOP BUTTON

  6. Insert the floppy disk with PROGRAM3.UPG and press the bobbin winding button again.
    Display: LOADING FLOPPY DISK NO.3

  7. When the data is finished loading, the display will change as shown below.
    Display: INSERT FLOPPY DISK NO.4 AND PRESS THE BOBBIN WINDING START/STOP BUTTON

  8. Insert the floppy disk with PROGRAM4.UPG and press the bobbin winding button again.
    Display: LOADING FLOPPY DISK NO.4

  9. When the data is finished loading, the display will change as shown below.
    Display: PROGRAM WRITING NOW
    (This message will be shown for about 1 minute. Do not turn off the machine during this time. (Otherwise, the machine may not operate correctly.)

  10. When the program is finished writing, the display will change as shown below.
    Display: THANK YOU COMPLETE. TURN THE POWER OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN ONCE MORE.
Caution: If the upgrade files are not inserted in the correct order and completely, the machine will not operate correctly. If a mistake in the procedure is made, start again from the beginning.

Version 3.04 features (August, 2003)
  • Added function for "embroidery tension setting." This function will allow you to adjust your upper thread tension in embroidery.
Version 3.03 features (February, 2003)
  • This upgrade includes an update for version 3.00 correcting an "Array" function in "Embroidery Edit". The machine will no longer default back to the opening screen when the array button is selected and there is only one letter on the screen. This would happen only when the color separation setting was turned on.
Version 3.0 features (September, 2002)
  • Color Separation Display - Color steps are displayed on the right hand side of the machine. Can be turned on or off in the Setting Key.
  • Thread Color Numbers - Color numbers for choices of two thread types can be programmed in the Setting Key.
  • Lock/Unlock Key - In the Utility stitch function lock/unlock the various settings, such as stitch width and length by touching this key.
Version 2.05 features (April, 2002)
  • This update will enhance embroidering capability and reduce the possibility of thread breakage.
Version 2.02 features (August, 2001)
  • Ability to change satin stitch density using the thread density key.
  • Ability to work with data in Tajima (DST) format currently held on a floppy disk.
  • Addition of the Medium Plus (sold separately) embroidery frame on the display screen.
Version 1.20 features (March, 2001)
  • Error message was improved for the patterns created with Palette 4.0. When a pattern 159.9 - 160mm in width and/or 259.9 - 260mm in length is loaded into the machine, the LCD operates normally and will no longer return to the first screen.
  • Screen messages in German, Norwegian, and Finnish were modified.
  • Embroidery PES data with less than 120 stitches can now be loaded into the machine.
  • When trying to embroider 260 X 160mm frame-size pattern with the small frame attached, the error message correctly states "Change to the large embroidery frame" instead of "Change to the medium or large embroidery frame."
