Almost no quilt block pattern is more versatile and makes as great a visual impact as the classic Flying Geese. This straightforward block is one of my favorites and because it's so quick and easy to make I'm sure it'll be your go-to pattern anytime you're inspired to create a stunning quilt.
Supplies:

- 2”x 2” squares

- 2”x 3-1/2” rectangles
- (2) 2” x 3-1/2” rectangles
- (2) 2” x 3-1/2” rectangles

- 2” x 3-1/2” rectangles
Instructions:
- Place 2 square right sides together with one of the 3-1/2 rectangles lining up the edges on three sides.
- Sew from one corner of the 2 square to the other
- Trim corner to leave 1/4 seam allowance. Press seams open.

Repeat for the other side of the rectangle so you have a triangle or geese. Repeat for the remaining seven rectangles for a total of eight flying geese.

Arrange two rows of four geese each.

The finished block will measure approximately 6-1/2.
