My daughter is pre-school aged and loves "helping" me when I'm sewing! I have quite the ribbon collection, and I cut most of it into pre-measured strips for different projects. The scraps, however, are her's! She loves sorting them into colors and lengths. While I'm working I ask her questions like, "How many red pieces do you have?", or "Which blue ribbon is the longest?" She sorts and stacks, tosses them all in the box, and starts again. I get to do some work while she's learning and "helping"!
