Tools:

Steps:

  1. Cut out the pattern pieces for View A Bunting.

    1. Check nap so that all sections are going in the same direction before cutting.

    2. Use pattern weights rather than pins for more accurate cuts.

    3. Keep a portable hand vacuum nearby. Vacuum along cutting lines before moving fabric, being careful not to suck up fabric.

    4. Use a press cloth if pressing is needed.

  2. Set up the machine for sewing:

    1. Insert the 90/14 stretch needles.

    2. Wind a bobbin using the same thread that will be used on the top for sewing.

    5. Attach the Walking foot. Use a Walking Foot or Even Feed Foot will prevent pleating and shifting of fabric.

  3. Read the Pattern Guide sheet for sewing information. Use the seam allowance as stated on the pattern guide sheet.

  4. Follow the guide sheet for assemble of the bunting outfit.

    1. Use flower head pins or clips for pinning the sections together. The flower head pins will make it easier to see them so that you don’t stitch over a pin.

    2. Tip: Do not stitch over the pins. (You could damage your machine or break a needle.)

    3. Engage the “needle down” feature on your machine.

    4. If you do not have this feature, turn the wheel on the right side of your machine to put the needle in the fabric.

    5. When you stop to adjust the fabric you can continue stitching.

    6. Use a press cloth if pressing is needed.

  5. After you outfit has been completed, place in a dryer with a damp wash cloth on low heat for about 10 minutes. This will stop the Cuddle® fabric from shedding.
