Ankle Issues

I'm primarily a garment maker, so my feedback is coming from this. You have to buy a completely separate foot kit to be able to use the ACTUAL overlock stitch, which is E on this machine. The manual tells you that you overlock with the zig-zag, which is false. It's a finish, but it's NOT an overlock! The ankle that comes in the Molly/Anna seven piece is the one you need to make all your specialty feet you already have work, but you are stuck buying the whole kit, just to get the ankle the machine should be coming with if they are going to be difficult like that. This is the ONLY reason for the start deduction.

That being said, this is a very quiet, very sturdy little machine. I got it as an upgrade to a Babylock 9, which I sewed everything under the sun on for over 18 years. It is extremely easy to use and straight forward, tho it did take a little futzing with the tension upon initial setup. It was this machine over the Zest for me due to the Specialty Stitch J, which will allow for better sewing of knits. I'm excited to put some good miles on this machine!

It's a great beginner machine and it has everything that you would need to start sewing! Easy to travel with but also sturdy but also cheaper than other ones!
