Doug’s career with Sewing machines started in 1980, working as a Sewing Machine Mechanic at a clothing manufacturer that his Mom worked as a pattern maker, and designer assistant. He also worked for Sears part time, repairing home machines. When the Manufacturing of clothing left St. Louis, Doug answered a help wanted ad for Baby Lock as a bench technician. He was hired by Steve Jeffery in 1990, and learned the repair of all Baby Lock products, and was later promoted to the Technical Service Manager. In 2006, Doug joined the Training team so he could spend more time and focus on the training of Technicians and retailer’s staff throughout the country. He continues to developed many training manuals, training programs, and videos in order to have more new training opportunities for our Baby Lock dealers.
