Steps:
-
Turn on the machine. To retrieve the built-in font click on Exclusive Script (as shown below). Select the first letter of your last name and place it on the workspace.
-
Hoop the Stick-Tear Tear-Away Stabilizer using the largest hoop (6 ¼ x 10 1/4).
-
Place the shiny side of the stabilizer facing upward in the hoop. Gently score the top layer on the stabilizer with a pin or the pointed tip of the scissors.
-
Peel the top section (shiny side) of the stabilizer away to reveal the sticky side of the stabilizer. Set aside.
-
-
Determine the placement of the letter on the bath towel hand towel and bath mat based on the size of the letter while using the following placement chart.
-
Mark the areas with a water soluble marker or a Frixion Pen (the mark will disappear with a hot iron).
-
Bath Towel - 4” to 5” from the bottom edge or 1.5” above the braided area centered from left to right.
-
Hand Towel – 3” to 3 ½” from the bottom edge or approximately 1” above the braided area centered from left to right.
-
Bath Mat – Centered.
-
-
Set up the machine for embroidery:
-
Wind the bobbin with black bobbin thread.
-
Place the bobbin in the bobbin case.
-
Thread the machine with the black Madeira embroidery thread.
-
Place the towel centered over the stabilized hoop. Finger press the towel to secure to the stabilizer in the hoop.
-
Place the hoop on the embroidery unit.
-
Place a small piece of water soluble topping stabilizer larger than the design over the top of the hoop. This will help keep the stitches from sinking into the fibers.
-
-
Repeat for the other pieces for the bathroom.
